Giovanni Galindo was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He was partly raised there and partly in a Midwestern city in the United States. He's had the opportunity to work on nationally recognized feature films, Fortune 500 companies, all the way to local non-profits. Giovanni has been acknowledged by his contemporaries and in 2018 was awarded the Steve James Documentary Scholarship while attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Giovanni, or Gio, has a deep connection to his faith and his Mexican-American upbringing causing him to constantly work on faith-based films, Latinx stories, and non-profit documentary style projects. Gio is currently focusing on feature-film narrative projects, documentaries, and doc-style commercial work. Currently based in Illinois.
